I am an Italian bass, composer, and vocal coach active between Sweden, France, and Italy. Since 2014, I have been a member of the ensemble at Malmö Opera, where I have appeared in productions such as Un ballo in maschera, La traviata, Pelléas et Mélisande, Roméo et Juliette, and Mozart’s Requiem in a staged version acclaimed by both audiences and critics.
In 2013, I was among the winners of the Armel Opera Competition in Hungary, which led to my debut as Jacopo Fiesco in Simon Boccanegra at the National Theatre of Szeged, in a production broadcast live on ARTE. During the 2016/17 season, I performed at the Royal Danish Opera in Copenhagen, singing in Macbeth and The Tales of Hoffmann. Earlier in my career, I was a member of the Opéra de Nice, appearing in productions of Aida, Macbeth, Manon Lescaut, Elektra, and Fidelio.
Throughout my career, I have worked with conductors including Tamás Pál, Patrick Ringborg, Gyüdi Sándor, Pier Giorgio Morandi, Alberto Hold-Garrido, Maxime Pascal, Leone Magiera, Giulio Magnanini, Sergio Monterisi, Franco Trinca, Francesca Tosi, and Olof Boman.
I originally trained as a pianist and composer with Licia Cartaregia and Caterina Bertora Milanese before dedicating myself to opera singing under the guidance of Luisa Maragliano, Ottavio Garaventa, Paola Pittaluga, Francesco Ellero D’Artegna, and Enrico Gregori. I have attended masterclasses in singing and dramatic interpretation with Francesco Esposito, Raina Kabaivanska, Sonia Ganassi, Patrizia Ciofi, Luciana D’Intino, Alessandro Corbelli, and Gabriella Petti.
I hold a Master’s degree in Italian Literature from the University of Genoa, with a thesis on the melodramas of Pietro Metastasio published in the journal Rassegna della Letteratura Italiana. I have also worked in the classical recording industry with the label Dynamic. As a composer, I was awarded second prize at the international Edition Peters / SheetMusicPlus competition (2020) for my piece På väg (On My Way). My suite for violin and chamber orchestra Ales Stenar—inspired by the megalithic site in southern Sweden—has been performed at Malmö Opera (2023), the Opéra de Nice (2025), and in several French cities.
